John Smyth, auch: John Smith, (* um 1566 in Surtun, Nottinghamshire; † 28. August (?) 1612 in Amsterdam, Niederlande) war ursprünglich ein anglikanischer Priester und gilt – neben Thomas Helwys – als einer der Gründungsväter der Baptisten.[1]
